Data points

ProAlert collects the following data points during the daily operation of a shop floor. They are captured once, into the platform's shared event stream, and are then available to every discipline that needs them: performance analytics for the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) components, maintenance for failure history, quality for scrap, and workforce costing for labor.

Shift and run timing

  1. Start/stop shift variance
    • Did the work center start early or late?
    • Did they leave early or late?
  2. Time to first cycle
    • Captured after any planned or unplanned downtime event
  3. Duration of planned down times (lunch, breaks, meetings...)
  4. Product change over durations (Kanban change)
  5. Cycle times

Downtime event data points

  • Who initiated
  • What product is being run
  • When initiated
  • How long for help to respond
  • Who resolved the issue
  • User-defined hierarchical reasons
  • Operator notes
  • Maintenance notes
  • Test cycles run
  • Total downtime
