ProAlert

Platform features

Fourteen operational disciplines, one asset model, one audit trail. What follows is a summary of what ProAlert does. The distinguishing property is not any one capability below. It is that none of them were ever separate systems, so a record created by one is immediately usable by the rest without an export step.

Maintenance, procurement and quality

The operations core most plants buy first, and the reason the rest of the data is worth having.

  • Work orders with SLA tracking, task checklists, labor time and parts consumption
  • Preventive maintenance triggered by time, meter reading, condition or event
  • 5-Why root cause analysis and ISO 14224 (Equipment Reliability Data Standard) failure taxonomies
  • Purchase orders with configurable multi-level approval chains, low-stock reporting and parts demand forecasting
  • Nonconformance register, reject codes, scrap capture with an approval queue, and defect heat mapping by location on the part
  • Document control with versioning and electronic signature capture

Performance analytics, including OEE

Discipline 8 of 14. Overall Equipment Effectiveness is calculated here, per asset, from data the platform already holds rather than from a nightly import.

  • Per-asset OEE with independently licensed Availability, Performance and Quality tiers
  • Automated data collection from production lines, so the score is not built from shift-end recollection
  • An organization health dashboard scoped by business unit and period, with configurable thresholds
  • KPI targets, and export to CSV, Excel and PDF

A standalone OEE tool stops at the number. Because this one shares a database with maintenance, procurement and quality, a low score can be traced to the stoppages that caused it and acted on the same day. See the calculations behind the figures or try the shift sandbox on the product site.

Shop-floor response coordination

Discipline 14 of 14. This is the discipline the industry calls andon. ProAlert runs it properly, and it is one part of the platform rather than a description of it.

  • Calls raised against an asset and routed by role through the plant's own reporting structure
  • First-responder claim, so one responder is dispatched rather than three
  • Response and resolution timing on every call
  • Configurable call types per asset, and escalation paths for calls nobody answers
  • PIN-protected closure with a structured failure classification written on close
  • Board displays for the floor, fed by the same records

Existing pull-cords, buttons and stack lights can stay in place. A physical button wired to an edge device raises the same call a tablet does.

Equipment connectivity

Getting the machine's own account of the shift, rather than an operator's memory of it.

  • EdgeSense industrial IoT devices speaking Modbus TCP/RTU to existing PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
  • Cycle counting, production state detection and offline buffering with automatic sync
  • A visual workflow rule builder, so edge behavior is configured rather than coded
  • RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) camera integration with event-triggered capture, correlated to the record it belongs to

Dashboards, reporting and access control

Every discipline reports from the same data, so the numbers agree by construction.

  • Role-based access, with per-module licensing enforced in the navigation itself
  • Data export for analysis, and live data streaming to centralized floor displays
  • A multi-parent business resource graph, so a plant, area, line and cell can each roll up more than one way
  • Configurable terminology and four shipped user-interface languages
  • An automatic audit trail written through the shared data-access layer, and a documented REST API

Notification and safety broadcast

The right people informed at the right time, and everybody informed at once when it matters.

  • Email and SMS alerts, with configurable escalation paths
  • Public address integration with user-defined call sounds per work center
  • Site-wide emergency broadcast to web, mobile and edge devices, with acknowledgement tracking
  • A safety incident register

ProAlert Mobile (PAM)

The platform in the aisle, on Android, iOS and Windows, working with or without a signal.

  • Work order execution, task completion, labor entry and parts usage
  • Asset lookup, inventory check, material requests and crew check-in
  • Barcode and QR scanning, and GPS on call and responder records
  • Instant notification when a work center places a call, and the ability to claim it
  • Offline operation with sync on reconnect
